all we have is each other

hi there!

I’m an artist, community organizer, and supportive space-holder who adores their home and community in Austin, TX.

I care deeply about transformative justice and abolition, collective liberation, trans art, and building resilient relationships. I feel most alive and myself when I am bringing people together to share in each other’s creativity, vulnerability, and dignity.

I love a good turn of phrase, a wide-open sky, and losing myself in a story.

art & Community

I make buoyant, hand-lettered artwork centered around liberation and affirmation as Doodle Me Alive. Making vibrant and enticing work with clean, fluid lines is so satisfying to me. I send out a monthly sticker, postcard, and collectible card design for Heartwork, my affirmations and gentle reminders club.

Beyond making art myself, I also love bringing queer artists together. I’ve been hosting biweekly Queer Art Nights since 2016, which gathers justice-minded queer visual artists to draw, build relationships, laugh, and fill up our cups. I was also one of the core organizers for the trans and intersex art festival Gender Unbound, which held annual festivals featuring exclusively trans and intersex creators and performers, drawing international talent, between 2016-2020. I am currently the Executive Director of Gender Unbound, guiding our transition from organizing the multi-day, multi-disciplinary festival to creating varieties of smaller and more local events.

Accountability & Mental Health

I co-founded the Games and Online Harassment Hotline in 2020 alongside Anita Sarkeesian and Chris Vu Le, going on to serve as its Hotline Director until the organization closed in 2024. We offered real-time, text-based emotional support and digital safety guidance to people in the games community and anyone experiencing online harassment. From the time we opened, we unexpectedly found ourselves talking to numerous people who had caused harm, abuse, or harassment themselves as they reached out to us for support. At the time, I was facilitating Transformative Justice processes in my own life, and so found myself applying those same principles to create protocols and training around offering compassionate while not enabling support in these Hotline conversations.

Soon after, I started a supportive space for people who had caused harm (PWCH), now called ReSpec, since isolation and confusion were recurring barriers to change in the experiences people were sharing with us. Since 2021, I’ve facilitated monthly, drop-in spaces where attendees offer mutual support around engaging with their accountability, rebuilding genuine connections, grappling with shame, and their individual journeys towards healing and wholeness. I also began providing one-on-one coaching to give individualized support to PWCH as well as bystanders or community members of PWCH.
